CRUISIN’ FOR ST. JUDE EVENT TO RAISE FUNDS FOR ST. JUDE CHILDREN’S RESEARCH HOSPITAL AND MOTORCYCLE AWARENESS MONTH

A Cruisin’ for St. Jude event benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital will be held on May 17, 2008, at Honda, Harley, Suzuki of Chillicothe, 818 Eastern Ave.  The Coordinator for this event is David Medert, who encourages everyone to participate.

By participating in or attending the event, you will help raise funds for the world’s premier pediatric cancer research center.  These funds will help St. Jude in its ongoing fight against childhood cancer and other catastrophic diseases.

“Our goal in holding this event is to help the children of the world who are stricken with diseases like cancer, AIDS, sickle cell disease and other catastrophic illnesses,” said Medert.  “St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is a world leader in the fight against these diseases, and they have made great progress because of the help of people who participate in and donate to events like Cruisin’ for St. Jude.”

May is also Motorcycle Awareness Month.  With warm weather and the escalating price of fuel, more motorcycles are on the roads today than ever before.  It is imperative that everyone (automobiles and motorcycles) be more attentive while on the roads.  Our highways still have sand and gravel from the winter on them causing maneuverability issues while riding.  Motorcycles are more apt to be hidden in blind spots of automobiles.  With everyone paying closer attention to safety, we will have a safer riding season.
